Michael Hoog

President and founder of HoogComm, Michael has provided strategic counsel to clients ranging from small start-up companies to leading global brands for over two decades. Working on a local, national and global basis, Michael counsels clients on communications matters involving market strategies, crisis and reputation management, corporate and executive positioning, employee engagement, state and local policy initiatives and trade and standards body coordination.

The lead communications strategist for the Blu-ray Disc Association, he has worked with leading companies in home entertainment, consumer electronics, IT and storage technology for nearly 20 years and has orchestrated successful communication campaigns for some of the largest companies in the world.

Prior to forming HoogComm, he was a founding partner of Corporate Advocates, a Denver-based public and government relations agency and worked as an attorney in the Denver office of global law firm, Patton Boggs, where he was a member of the public policy practice and designed stakeholder communications initiatives for the firm’s national and global clients.

Michael is currently a board member for Christopher and Dana Reeve Foundation and served as a presidential appointee to the American Heritage Rivers Advisory Committee under President Clinton. He was also a Governor's appointee to the Colorado Council on the Arts. A former pitcher in the Atlanta Braves organization, Michael holds a B.A. in political science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Juris Doctor from the University of Colorado at Boulder.
